At the April 5th dinner, nearly 200 ECBA members and guests of the bar enjoyed tons of beef, bread and fries --- and libations. Hap Nightingale's reknowned food and service kept everyone going, even into the after hours at a local Cedar Grove gathering place.
This year’s team was organized and led by Gary N. Donner. Mr. Donner gave kudos to each of his teammates, stating “It was a pleasure dining with you.” The winning sculpture was a palm tree designed by Elizabeth Koniers Brown, and really impressed the judges with its creativity. The other members of RFBC’s team included, John W. Roeser, who supplied horseradish sauce for the team to help mask the taste of the beefsteak, Mark A. Fantin, Justin A. Greenblum, Andrew S. Zimmerman and RFBC’s heavy-hitter, Owen J. McKeon.
This was RFBC’s second win in three-years. Impressed with the teamwork and ingenuity shown in the firm’s win, partner John F. Olsen said that “This looks like the start of a dynasty.” RFBC looks forward to defending its title next year.
